"Sinners" is an interactive romance game set in the modern day about falling in love with a customizable villain. There is one love interest and no platonic route.

it'd be nice if there was an option to exhibit more of a all-cops-are-bastards attitude, especially when meeting the detective one-on-one
like, i'd very much remind him (during the call and/or in person) that i asked for a lawyer and there's none present. i know declining the offer to meet doesn't fit the plot but i'd like to at least be difficult and unwilling haha
There is a rewrite happening for this WIP. While the meeting is necessary, I will try to include some more ACAB choices for fellow likeminded people and your mcs.

Really enjoying this so far! Roman is so intriguing early on...
One small pronoun issue I noticed - I have both my character's and Roman's pronouns set to they/them, but get this line in their first meeting in the cafe:
i need moreee
Hey, so there are a bunch of instances early on right after your first encounter that specifically refer to the imposing stranger as a man, even though I chose female pronouns.
"To them, the man's send-off was genial. Familiar, even."
"You don't know if you want to turn around and confront the man so nonchalantly intimidating, crawl into a hole, puke, or get home and forget about the night entirely."
"Oh, god, what if it's the man from last night? You glance at the takeout bag."
"Not that there is anyone in this city who would recognize your name or your face except for maybe your landlord. And the man who rescued you."
I only just started so I don't know how many there are, but maybe a CTRL-F through the script for "man" would be prudent, as I get the impression you have a rather firm picture of the character in your mind when writing.
EDIT: Well, that was neat! Definitely keeping my eye on this one.
That variable is affected by changing how Roman identifies, not their pronoun selection. Did you select "man" during this playthrough? Let me know if this helps!
Ohh, I see! I completely missed that button, maybe it should have a line break after the colon to format it the same way as the pronouns?
Pretty good, I think there should be more ROs. Also having a female RO named Roman is strange, the name should be changed to match the gender.

I have never seen these people or this movement but choosing a decent name for the character is important. Roman is a guys name, kinda like John or David. At least choose a gender neutral name like Alex
Well just because you have never seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist lol. And i don't see the big issue anyways. There are already quite a few people with certain names regardless their gender so you just kinda have to deal with it ^^
I disagree. I certainly wouldn't call a girl Roman. Bad enough writers keep adding non binary nonsense and they/them LIs.
Non binary nonsense? Have you checked the tag, it literally says lgbt bruh aka lgbtq+ even if you don't agree about lgbt = lgbtq+ enbies are still in the transgender umbrella.
It's not cool that you come to a lgbtq+ friendly game and are being transphobic specifically against enbies. Have some respect and keep rude comments to yourself they are going through enough irl so we don't need people like you invade safe spaces for them. And if you are one of those "it's free speech" people then keep in mind that being a bigot is HATE speech and something else than free speech.

I'm wondering why a MC with a criminal background, acts dumb and innocent with Roman? Also when did they decide they wanted to talk to the detective? Seemed to just pop up there regardless of how cooperative had been before. Also any chance MC will get to do something more involved, or is it the intention that they 'have to' be an 'unwilling' participant?
Maybe just me though. I do tend to like playing non-innocent characters myself. Although difficult to find good stories can play them.

happened to me too, try decreasing your zoom on your browser. If you're using Chrome it should appear justr below "Extensions" and just above "Print..." when you click the three dots near the star that you use to book mark a page

Oh my, the demo is quick and short, but it hooked me completely, the feelings of the mc could be felt as if I was really there, Thanks for making this, and yes, I would actually fall for a sinner, I can't wait for more.
this demo is very interesting! this is quite different from stories i have read before and the way that the writer got me begging for more is crazy. the way that we only see the character roman for a short time and we can immediately have a gist of his character and attitude.
This was quite interesting! I really liked how "Roman"" (assuming if it's their real name) is written so well, they're quite threatening, intimidating, and mysterious. Granted, that's all we can see in the demo but so far Roman is quite an interesting lil character (I do wonder if Roman is the villain... Who would play as the hero? Because I know our MC won't take that role at all). I also like how MC reacts to the situation in a slightly more realistic way, showing hostility, silence, and deflecting the tenseness with sharp sarcasm. I think they all work well to incorporate how, even though Roman is our love interest, so far nothing about their interactions are all happy-go-lucky. It makes me think we're gonna have an enemies to lovers moment with Roman and the corruption arc of our lil MC. Looking forward to further development of it!

If you're in a smartphone put the browser in desktop mode and play with the phone in the vertical, and if text is to small go to settings and put it in 150%

Hello, I don't think that you can choose your gender at all, whenever I choose he/him pronouns, the gender still becomes a Woman, not a man
Hello, selected pronouns do not affect the MC's gender. The gender variable is changed in the interrogation scene where the options are "M", "F", or "X".
